Bora Bora is a true paradise. This is one of the few places the when you go there is exactly like the pictures you see in travel mags not something cooked up my a geek with Photoshop. Tourism is thebonly industry so the prices can be high but the experiences are worth every cent. If you wait till you are in port there are several operators offering tours right where the tender docks. This way you can pick an operator you like. They go out of their way to show you a good day. Make sure you clean up any mess you make. Swimming with sharks and stingrays here is fantastic, but having a sting ray come cuddle you can be a surprise.

Fantastic "all" day tour. Polynesian day and Motu lunch. We circumnavigated the island in a outrigger motor boat. Stopped at 2 places to snorkel. We say lots of colorful corals, a large moray eel and at the second stop snorkeled with black tips sharks and sting rays. The day ended with a Polynesia feast on a small private motu (island.) Food was great and it was fun sitting at picnic tables in the shallow water. Based on recommendations we will likely return here and stay for a few days at the Le Meridien or St. Regis.
