The ship is in the sea and we go land by tenders, but There are no public transport and to go to one of the 3 beaches, about 10 km, we pay 50 USD by taxi, very expensive!

Take a taxi out of the city area and visit the more rural areas to see the real Bali. It’s entirely different and well worth the time.

Another great tropical island. Saw monkeys, bought some great Batik fabric shirts and had a private tour. Was great.

We visited many wonderful temples and sites and had an enjoyable lunch. One definitely needs some sort of excursion to navigate around the area. I wouldn't recommend trying to visit Bali on your own.

The early departure led us to cancel one of our excursions because it met at 5:30 AM which would have meant getting up at about 4 to 4:30 AM to be ready to take the excursion.
