Such beautiful day! Very quiet and peaceful on shore. Not a lot to do within walking distance. You could rent bicycles to venture out further. We went to a small section of beach and enjoyed the morning swimming with some of the island residents and 3 sharks. We did not bother the sharks and they did not bother us. They came within arms length. We did keep our arms to ourselves. No need to offer breakfast. Definitely worth the tender ride.

If you are a diver, sign up for two dives here! Easy island to walk with good snorkeling and beautiful beaches. The coral church is worth visiting, easy walk from the dock.

We arrived at Fakarava. Anchored. The Captain waited about and hour and decided conditions were too bad to allow tender operations so this stop turned into a sea day. The Cruise Director and his team worked hard to get a new schedule of activities prepared and had it ready shortly after we departed the lagoon.

Again, another very enjoyable port. Just took a five dollar taxi ride to a public beach swim with some sharks and snorkelled a little bit.

Booked private excursion with Ato Blue Lagoon Tour. Highly recommend. Fakarava is a flat island with beautiful beaches and water
