The Spirit only had 3 tours for this port. 3 yours for 3,000 people seems….. off. Wanted to see some of the geothermal (Yellowstone) attractions but all those tours were cancelled by the ship. Huge disappointment and hopefully the 90 people that got to go on shore excursions had fun. The rest of us were left high and dry.

After the city tour, we were taken to the Geothermal Springs and Maori working village. Our guide provided an excellent presentation of the village and all the springs as this was her village growing up. Worth the Trip

Spend the entire day in hobbitan, and take 1.5 hours to get there from the port. But it's worth it

Rented a car and went to Rotorua. Highly recommend that.

Beatuful beaches ...........We did an excursion to the geyser and hot springs, had lunch on a ferry Lakeland Queen......

Take the walk around Mt Mauranganui. It is spectacular.
