We didn't really see the town but took the Sailing Lake Rotoiti tour. The catamaran was great & we got to sit in the hot springs too. The weather was perfect and we really relaxed on giant bean bags on the sailboat.

Port was easy accessible. We did a tour to Hobbinton from here. Hobbinton is awesome. Totally loved it and no ive never watched the LOTR.

We did a self directed excursion - walking around the mount. The colour of the water was spectacular and lots of places to take photos. Enjoyed a delicious Italian meal in the main street of Tauranga.
