We spent five nights in Sydney before we embarked the cruise. We loved the city, but it was on our own.

Always excellent

Loved the city, clean and friendly and efficient people. Took a tour to the Blue Mountains, unfortunately the weather did not cooperate, but could see the potential of a worthwhile full day excursion there and a lovely ferry ride back.

I had been in Sydney 3 times before for work so I just walked around the port and downtown area. It was nice to see the city after nearly 20 years though. It’s very walkable and of course the Bridge and Opera House are right next to the Cruise port.

The local ferries and busses take credit cards (that have a chip), Tap on and off without buying a transit card. Very efficient and inexpensive. $8 a day gets you anyware you want to go including the zoo. A single ferry ride was only $1.

Sydney is a beautiful city (big city feel) My excursion took us on a bus tour of the sights and also a harbor tour by boat which was very nice. They served sandwiches, appetizers and cookies (timtam - a native cookie)
