6 extra days in Sydney was the best, I wish I had more time. Shangri La Hotel was the best, Harbor View with Harbour Club access was well worth the money. 30th Floor overlooks the Sydney Harbour Bridge. And Opera building.

LOVE LOVE LOVED Sydney and spend 3 days here post cruise which still wasn't enough to see and do everything this city has to offer. We missed the Fish Market and after seeing friends pictures wished we had time to go. If your cruise starts or ends in this port, be sure to spend at least 3-4 days to see as much as possible. The Hop On/Hop Off bus is a great way to see a lot of the sites and the public train/tram is easy to use as well.

Although we only finished the cruise here, we have been there on trips a few times. There's plenty to do with markets, shopping, zoos, cultural and historical attractions. Definitely too many things to do in one day but be prepared to spend money. Fortunately getting around by public transport is fairly accessible.

BridgeClimb in Sydney is well worth doing. Great perspective of the bridge and harbour. Twilight was a great time to do it as you get to enjoy the afternoon sun, sun set and the city lights. I did the standard climb and found it was a pretty slow pace ( in this regard the express climb might have been better).

Sydney is a great city with plenty to see and do. The Overseas Passenger Terminal is located in Circular Quey. A short walk to all the local attractions including Sydney Opera House and the Rocks as well as great access to public transport. Only a short walk to Darling Harbour.
