Rented a car and went wine tasting. BEAUTIFUL scenery. Lovely wine (Cloudy Bay) and delicious cheese plates. We live near Napa, California, and wine taste frequently, so when I say good wine, I am comparing to some very good wines.

Very cute town that is walkable from the port and has some great shops as well as a couple of grocery stores. We did a wine tour where we visited 6 wineries and had lunch at one of them. If we were to go back, I think I would take the Hop On/Hop Off bus as that goes all over the area and you can spend as much time as you want at favorite spots and some great hidden gems.

LOVED Little Picton. Quiet town. Shopped, explored. Got to stay an extra day due to the fog out at last 2 ports. Locusts invaded the ship - it was hilarious! Captain came on and asked us to keep doors and windows closed while crew gathered and removed the locusts. Great fun!

We travelled on the Marlborough Train which was lovely. However being the Christmas period everywhere was closed apart from the odd cafe. I cannot complain about the train but dumping 300+ people in a closed town is not the best. Thanks Royal Caribbean
