Another beautiful spot, highly recommend the three sisters coffee house on the main strip if you need a good coffee. Also look out for the mobile fresh doughnut van, absolutely delicious.

Beautiful Napier, must do a tour and take in Te Mata Peak, Strawberry Farm, best ice-creams ever! TRy and find a small group tour, we got stuck on a large coach, the smaller intimate groups are better. Better still book a local well in advance and they will personalise the tour to suit you

A free bus service from the dock. We wandered around taking in the architecture. It’s all been rebuilt in ArtDeco style after the earthquake in 1931. The museum was worth a visit. Only stayed half a day here but that was enough.

We took a tour down to Kidnappers point, saw some sheep shearing and enjoyed wonderful scenery. Following afternoon tea we called back at Napier for an hour before re-boarding the Lollipop. Napier had a huge earthquake some years ago. The locals had the bright idea to rebuild the city in ArtDeco style...Wow! What a beautiful little city, terrific promenade, fantastic sights to be seen everywhere you go. Everything, and I mean everything was in ArtDeco style. Truly a wonder to behold.

We were there during their annual Art Deco weekend - a site to behold! But, anytime the city's beautiful old architecture and atmosphere would be fun to experience

Nice city however we never got into port until late on a Sunday so most shops closed but nice place to stretch your legs

The Alpine express tour was fantastic although we did have to wait quite a while. Sit on the right hand side for best views and there's a carriage without Windows for photos, get back there at the start as it gets really crowded.
