As we predicted and pointed out to Oceania, the wild fires in this area of Australia, caused us to miss this port of call.

OK, but main attractions are far away. Spent most of the day on a bus, going and coming.

Took shuttle to town and took our own walking tour. The beach was beautiful! Had lunch at Fisherman's Club-wonderful! Visited the Whaling Museum. Would recommend.

Tea and Kangaroos. Drove us to a country club. After instructions they took us out on golf carts to see hundreds of kangaroos. Was the best ever. Pouring rain but it didn’t matter. Saw lots of joeys (babies)in and out of the pouches. Seeing wild kangaroos so close up was worth it! After that they served us tea or coffee with small cakes. One of our best ever excursions

We did the short half day tour to Merimbula. We had really quite a nice time. The girl on the coach had lots to tell us and was quite funny although a little loud, but anyway that was okay. It was lovely walking around the town and having a coffee and walk around the lake. Then we came back and I caught the ships shuttle back to Eden and had a walk around that town, which I enjoyed immensely, and I walked back to the ship via the markets that the town had put on. And I spent some money there. Honestly enjoyed thisthree night cruise to Eden, as much as any other Cruise that I’ve done, it was relaxing and lovely

Eden is a picturesque little town with a history of whaling. Unless you enjoy walking up hills take a free shuttle bus into the town and walk around the shops and to the beach. Walk back via the whaling museum (really worth some time) and it’s downhill from there. Also spectacular views from the headland above the port.
