hate big cities and all the construction noise was too much to endure. However I do recommend the souvenir shop at this port as its the cheapest around plus the unique jewelry

Auckland, although a lovely harbour is just another city and i didnt get to do what i really wanted to ie to visit the wild west coast. Instead i chose once again a small local tour and while this was interesting the main CBD was not the shoppers mecca I expected and returned to the ship sooner than expected.

Auckland is so much busier than the last time I was there. Reminds me of Melbourne. Rangitoto volcanic island is a great day trip. The Sky Tower is also worth checking out.

We enjoyed the port but some of the time here could be spent elsewhere.

No excursion, visited with friends, but the botanical gardens are free and lovely, and walking around downtown and up to the port was great too.
