Great festival to see all the culture and dancing. It was Sunday and nothing opened.Only thing to do was the ship tour which was really worth it.Lovely

On our last cruise we docked on a Sunday, so it was very quiet. The locals are still finding their way when it comes to cruise ship I feel, but given time I'm sure it will all improve.

Didn't think much of this port, as it was very humid on the day of arrival there. Walked down the road from the port, and experienced very dirty and smelly conditions.

Alotau was ok for the trip to the village and cultural display which was entertaining and informative. The city itself was somewhat on the dingy side with the footpaths a bit sketchy at times. There were a few shops to buy stuff from but some of them were a bit dishonest with their prices. There were roadside markets but these were more for the locals and had limited souvenirs.
