Took the shuttle into town. Had a Pisco sour :) Then hired a local boat out to the Ballestas Island for $25 each. Well worth the money and bumpy ride. The ship charged $150 each for the tour.

Took a trip to the Ballestas Islands. Could have managed that by ourselves by taking a ride to town and going out in the many boat tours available and saved a chunk of money. If you're not adventurous, then take the ship's excursion. Worth while in any case.

good tour to waterfront desert and to a vineyard great tour there.

We went on a local tour to a remote Inca ruins ancient archaeological site known as Tambo Colorado. 4-hour tour, that transports you from Port San Martin to the ruins of Tambo Colorado $90 per person. http://www.nazcaflights.com/tours-outside-nazca/sanmartinporttours/index.htm. Well worth the trip. It was very interesting and informative. Our guide was outstanding.
