You really do not get to see Costa Rica you are very far out from the city. The excursion takes you to the local town you port in and you see the jungle and river.

Did not take an excursion, walked around the port town, which finally approved a lot

Did a bus tour of Costa Rica, winding up at a fort, then a local park where locals performed, then the huge El Jardin market. Not a bad way to pass the time and see a small part of the country.

Puntrenas is a dead town now after Covid. Tourism was its heart. When Covid hit, the residents had to move elsewhere for work. It is not the same.

Very long walk

No excursion, the locals at port were a bit too aggressive for me. I would have stayed longer in port if I could have felt more relax.

Coffee plantation, orchid botanical Garden etc. _Great!

Went to the macaw and jaguar sanctuary. Enjoyed seeing the efforts to rescue and rehabilitate endangered animals.
