This Country is extremely poor! Our guide was good, but it took her a while to get the counting of number of people on the bus done. We did the coffee plantation tour thru NCL which was very informative and beautiful grounds, complete with a biscotti and coffee at the end of it.

Had a great tour of the macadamia farm. Would recommend. Our tour guide dressed in native garments and explained them. Could have explained more about what we were seeing along the way.

This is a very nice Port, the town is great to visit and walk around, like the area and good place to shop and eat.

The immediate port area was pleasant with some nice within the port complex. However, beyond the gate, it was very commercial (coal terminal). I did the NCL excursion to the coffee plantation, about a 2 hour coach ride up into the mountains. It was apparent that the people live quite modestly. Once past all the commercial areas, the countryside itself was pretty. I'm a coffee lover so thoroughly enjoyed seeing the 40 acre coffee plantation. The farm guide was excellent and the woman owner greeted us in person. Afterwards, had "free" coffee and opportunity to buy some to take home.

We visited a coffee plantation and it was so interesting in how they made the coffee. As part of the excursion, they served us coffee from their plantation and homemade biscuits. It was very good. We bought a lot of coffee because it was so good. The tour guide was excellent and the ride through Guatemala was nice. The only negative was when I bought some chocolate by the port from one of the vendors. It ended up being very bad chocolate.

Nice shopping area right at the pier.

We took the excursion to Antigua which was very interesting and had a great lunch in a local 5 star hotel. This was also listed as a 1 for exertion but there was a lot of walking. We had several older travelers who would have fallen behind if one of the guest in our group hadn't stayed behind at turns to help them find the way and holler at the guide to wait. We also picked up some stragglers from another group till we happened to pass their group.
