A short walk to a shopping area, rest of town was not so inviting just to walk around. I have spent a week in Costa Rica years ago, so did not need excursions. You cannot do this country justice in a tour of 3-4 hours.

Puerto Limon is an authentic local town not dressed up for tourists. The included excursion of boating in a local canal is so so and the shop in the excursion location is a tourist trap.

This port of call was wonderful. There was live music as we exited our boat. There was even a shopping area with booths that was nice.
