Puerto Limon, Costa Rica Port Reviews

This port was nice liked that it had things to do close by. Highly recommend an excursion.

Spent the day at the beach and meet some wonderful local people.

Yes Zipline. Not enough information on this excursion. No railings on the extra SMALL platforms.

For a country known for eco-tourism it's a trash dump....Not impressed

Went on a boat ride in the canal and saw lots of monkeys, a sloth hanging upside down right by the water…got great pics!

Stayed on the ship. Went to the Terrace Pool and enjoyed the local music on the Pier, also had drinks and lunch there.

We did a river tour and saw sloths, unique birds, and monkeys. Continued on a walking tour and saw mini dangerous frogs - they are everywhere. We stopped for 15 minutes at a beach restaurant, we went into the water and sat on the beach, then went to the bus as our 15 minutes were up but it turned into 90 minutes because some people wanted to eat. That was really frustrating and the guide should have been on top of it more to get us back on the bus and on to the next stop.

We have sailed to Costa Rica before. The port is not what I remembered it being. We did not take an excursion. We walked around the area. I am not sure I would have felt comfortable walking by my self. If we were to go back, I would probably take a tour.
