Puerto Limon, Costa Rica Port Reviews

We took a taxi ride around the area. It appears quite poor but it was an interesting View of Costa rica. My travel mate has been to Costa Rica many times and said there are much nicer areas so I might go back there someday.

We've been before, included excursion was fine

Very felt “eh” about this port. Would be fine never going back… (maybe we did the wrong excursion?!)

Not a lot to do in Limon. We enjoyed our visit to the sloth sanctuary.

The port area is dirty and very unappealing, but once you get into the rural areas you see a beautiful place. I did an excursion where we went on a boat ride through the forest and it was amazing! I saw crocodiles, macaws, sloths, monkeys and the most beautiful birds and trees it was like being in another world.

Was really nice port of call short but nice. Did a nice little tour on our own . Shopping was a little expensive out there but people are trying to make a living

Just visited visitor center at port.

The excursion tourist guide was terrific. The traditional dancers were awesome.

Loved seeing the flora and fauna that the excursion provided

Not much to do on the east side of the country.
