Ghetto port. Soooo unimpressed sadly

We did an canal ride and rainforest excursion. It was wonderful! Took the whole day. Our Guide, Luis, made sure that everyone got the chance to see every animal that appeared -- Sloths, monkeys, a toucan, and more. The thing we loved most was there was no sense of "hurry up, we have to move on." Luis allowed all to take the time we wanted whether on the canal, in the frog displays, butterfly garden, waterfall hike or tram rides. VERY ENJOYABLE EXCURSION!

Waste of time. The boat and train tour was a tour of shanty towns and trash. Stay on the ship

Wow enjoyed the Bocucre Jungle trip.

Enjoyed the veragua rain forest. Fun outing.

Area around pier isn't well developed. We did the Royal Caribbean excursion to the sloth sanctuary (wonderful!) and a banana plantation (which was extremely crowded). We prefer inland & western Costa Rica.

BEST port, so many things to do and see...we hope to go back one day! Any excursion would probably give you a good view of Costa Rica. We took the train, river walk tour and saw so much wild life including a sloth with its baby!
