Going through the canal in a small boat is worth the cost of the excursion. It gives you a completely different perspective than the transit on the cruise ship.

Colon not so great. We should have stayed on the ship. Tour was so so and long. Shopping near the ship was not good (many stores closed, too dangerous to adventure away from the pier)

We took "The Best of Panama to Colon" tour. Really enjoyable. Love the visit to the Emberá Native village and the visit to the Agua Clara Expansion Locks observation area.

Did no excursion but got off in this port to see poverty. It offers nothing off shore unless you wanted free Wi-Fi. Staff liked this port to communicate with family and friends.

Dump. Unless you did an excursion it isn't worth it to leave the boat.

Tour of Panama City was good. Ride back to Colon was depressing because of the dilapidated and graffitied buildings.
