We enjoyed Ko Samui. The tendering process to get back on the ship was horrendous though. We stood at the dock in the sun for over an hour.

We really enjoyed Ko Samui. Thailand is a very nice city and they are trying hard to clean it up since it was a bit dirty. We had wanted to do a ship excursion but they were sold out so we got off the ship and there were plenty of people offering tours for bargain prices. We had a wonderful day and were very glad we came.

went to see elephants which was great you can touch and feed them then went shopping the shops where ok some cheap things very hot most have aircon worth a look

No much to do in this little fishing village, just standard food and basic shopping. Skip the ship tours.

The tour we were on was Ko Samui highlights and temples. We didn't have much time at any of the stops. The ship didn't have an ATM loaded with local currency, so you get ripped off changing money unless you find an ATM. We got a SIM card here for about $5 with unlimited data for 3 days we were in Thailand. Again at 7-11. $300Bht. Big budah, happy budah, but no time for the markets.
