Dubai was ok. I certainly would not recommend it for a vacation. There was nothing to do. We did find out that they had movies in English so we went to a couple of movies. We booked and excursion where we rode a camel and had a really super ride in a 4x4 that took us over a wild trip in the desert. Those 2 things were the highlight of our trip. Dubai is primarily just building after building after building. The hard rock cafe had great food and music.

The port was quite far away from the city. Expect a taxi fare of 40 dirhams to get to the nearest metro station.
