The port is close to the old city - Souq Waqif - and the taxi fares are very reasonable. Very walkable and close to the famous Museum of Islamic Art. The view across the bay to the financial center of Doha is spectacular.

Did souq waqif and the museums with Claudia. Really enjoyed, learnt lots. Spice market was great. Did our own thing afterwards, dhow boat and museum of Islamic art. Great day.

Got the bus from the port into the city centre €10. A lot of stalls and shops. People very friendly. Saw a camel farm where the bus dropped us off.
