I think all of the excursions are set up so that there is too much down time. So we would be scheduled for 3 hours, for example, and spent a good 45 minutes just waiting around. I think this should definitely be improved by adding additional sites to make the tours fuller.

Yes the ship cruised through this rather wide open Strait. Strait does not have an S at the end. Our visit to Fukuoka was cancelled because of the timing of tides, currents and "Daylight Only" requirement for transiting Kanmon Strait.
