Puerto Chiapas (Tapachula), Mexico Port Reviews

This is a young port so don’t expect a bunch of things to do. It was a very tropical and beautiful port while pulling in on the ship. We took the shuttle into town for the usual shopping and sightseeing, with a Mango Margarita and cold local beer in the city square. It was a first time port for us and we enjoyed it.

My excursion today was “Chiapas through the ages: Izapa ruins and Tapachula”. Our tour guide was very informative end it was fascinating looking at the ruins.

spent time in the park with the CARAVAN. The Mexican's bought lunch for these people and cared for them. Trump could learn from these folks.

Wear a Big Hat for shade. Packed 10 pounds of Holloween & day after Christmas candy, handed it out by the handfuls to the Locals until i sadly ran out of candy.

You have to book an excursion here as nothing is near the port. However, there is a nice pool and a small restaurant if you do not want to leave the port.

Went to see the Mayan Tree of Life & Chocolate Disvoery for 4 hrs. Very nice tour. The port was one of the nicest I've seen, very clean and jolly. They played nice music and when our ship was leaving the Navy personnel came out and everyone waved us off. Would definately come back here.
