We went prepared after researching Progresso. We loved the authentic Mexican simple town, the markets and the beach front dining. We did our shopping here, cheaper and less touristy.

We went to the free beach, next time for sure we will do a resort. We were constantly getting haseled by Locals to purchase things. It never stopped. We did enjoy a $10 massage which was amazing by Maria

We didn’t care Progresso much . All the merchants were very pushy. Would’ve bought more if they would’ve just let us look a bit instead of trying to push stuff on you

Really enjoyed this port, and we also took a tour to Merida, and that was also excellent. Merida had lots of interesting sightseeing venues and excellent restaurants.

We took a thirty minute bus tour around the city for $5 a person. Not much to see, but on the bus you can see it all quickly and not get too hot. Massage on the beach? Cheap and amazing!
