The best thing about Ensenada is a great French & Mexican restaurant called: El Rey Sol. This is a must stop for lunch anytime you in Ensenada. It's about a short 5 blocks walk from the ship and it's well worth it! Try the Caesar Salad it's the best I've ever had anywhere in the world.

I did not like all of the Police carrying Automatic weapons. The Blow hole was great, but we didn't have enough time there because our guide was trying to direct us to certain shops that he gets kick backs from. I did to pet baby tigers at Hanna Bananas. There are two shops that give you Tequila tastings, one is Hanna Banana. They have a Tequila that tastes like a lemon drop. We tried to go back to buy some, but ran out of time. So if you find something you like, don't think that you will have time to go back and get it. And since I don't know the name, I can't find it in the States.

Please everyone stop giving that habana place near la bufadora your money to drug those poor baby animals ! I’ve seen a few reviews elsewhere where people have been injured by the cubs when they are rambunctious. I don’t evenhave to investigate further into the place than looking through the Ensenada port photos on this app ...... see for yourself ...... I don’t think it’s a coincidence that everybody is posing for a photo with a “sleepy” cub .

We lucked into a bus ride into town where they told us about a shuttle ride to a small flea market and a visit to the blowhole. Our guide, Alejandra, made sure we knew who to buy from and who not to buy from based on authenticity of silver and real leather and where to purchase food and drinks that would not make you sick. The tour was about 3 1/2 hours and was only $17 per adult..a real bargain and always felt safe! Part of the flea market housed a small animal shelter for an extra fee you could hold the exotic animals!

Did a great excursion -- a nice bus ride to Rosarita, about an hour from Ensenada, for shopping and a wonderful lobster dinner. Our guide, Pedro, kept up a constant narrative during the bus ride, mixing history, humor, and personal stories, while his driver took our small but modern bus from each interesting stop to the next. Highly recommended! (Incidentally, Pedro's resemblance to Anthony Bourdain is striking.)
