Of course Kauai is spectacular! Right off the ship you can walk to a lovely beach, go through the botanical garden at the Marriott Hotel and wander around there. If you have already been there and seen the canyon and other points of interest, there is enought to do on your own in this area right off the ship. We went to the luau in the evening - first luau we have been to , and i heard others that have been to more say this one was the best. We certainly enjoyed it - took the train ride around the plantation before the luau which was interesting and informative. Tried the poi just so I could say I did, and that was enough. The rest of the food good, the entertainment was spectacular. All in all a wonderful evening,

The ship went up the Na Pali coast in the rain but the clouds parted as we got there. Spectacular.

Again we had an very informative guide here, the island was beautiful and taking the tour to Waimea Canyon and the boat tour up to the Fern Grotto were well worth it.

The Heaven and Earth Helicopter ride was our best excursion. Very expensive but was great. Tour guide (Jorge) was great. Prettiest island with best scenery

The cruise around the island was absolutely wonderful, the bus driver was interesting, funny, interested in us and very very helpful.
