I've been to Hawaii many times, but hadn't visited Maui in quite a long time and was sorry that I didn't get off the ship earlier. Many, many shops and restaurants on the main strip to explore.

Unfortunately this port of call was cut short, from 2 days to 1 day which was a huge disappointment, especially because it was entirely avoidable had Celebrity properly maintained this ship during the COVID out of service period. The ship excursions were lacking quality and choice so we did private excursions (which we normally never do) that were excellent.

Very historic where whaling sailors would come to port for a little R&R. That is until the missionaries came into town and would prevent the uninhibited women from swimming out to meet the sailors. The sailors would then reply by cannon balling the missionaries homes.

It is a port that has to use shuttle boats. We appreciate the efforts made. but the waiting time in the line back to the ship was too long, 100 minutes for us. Is there a better way to organize this? Yes, we did an excursion. It is a beautiful island. Of the four islands we visited, we like Maui best!

No excursion here (had been here before) but we had a great time wandering downtown after coming in on the tender. Had a great lunch at Mick Fleetwood's restaurant. If you're looking for cool T-shirts you'll thing you died and went to heaven. Found one specific shirt I'd been looking for. If you're looking for Hilo Hattie's it's a bit off the main drag and the address we were given was a bit misleading as they'd moved. The Hilo Hattie's in Nawiliwili was bigger and better.
