We always take a taxi or Uber (less than seven bucks last time we were there) to aloha mixed plate behind the cannery mall. It's on the ocean and has some of the most amazing local food you can get. I love the mai tais.

Great place!!! We did the drums of the Pacific luau at the Hyatt and it was good. I wished when we booked I had realized it was at a hotel. Thought it was going to be smaller (was about 600 people there). Beaches are close and beautiful. Shopping is right there at the pier, and stop by Captain Jacks for AWESOME mai tais and lava flows!!!!!!

Loved port. Excursion sucks Book the snorkeling. Really bad. 4 hours total on a boat, and maybe 20 min. In the water. Seen a few colored fish. Not for older people. You jump of the boat and then to get back on the boat you have to try and climb this ladder, with no help from crew. Boat is going up and down waves hitting you. And to top things of on our way to the site the crew was fishing we had to stop , they played around with the fish for sometime. Still lost it. Then when we got to the place we was to snorkle They couldn't because of other boats that hook up . So we waited once again. All around bad...

Scheduled on day of halloween parade that has been on the calendar for years so many activities (excursions) had to be canceled due to road closures.

Lahaina was one we did not book an excursion on, we just wanted to see the port. However, while here it donned on me that there were no 3-hour boat cruises …. This only works if you have the Gilligan’s island theme running through your head as I did.

Tender service was terrible. We were overheated on return trip. Waited in line for over an hour to board the tender, then they loaded our tender first and then we had to wait to load another tender so they could leave first. Very hot, no air, exhaust smell. It was not good and very unorganized.

No excursion. Just wandered around Fri t street. Eat at Kimo’s as they are famous and very good.
