We went to the Beach Blast. It was for four hours and you can snorkel, kyak, and ride in a glass bottom boat. The snorkeling was pretty good. My husband saw a sea turtle while he was snorkeling. If you go snorkeling buy an underwater camera so you can take pictures. We didn't kyak for very long. The glass bottom boat ride was fun but do it before you go snorkeling; then you'll know what you are loking at.

Loved it - at least no industrial ports this time! A lot to do and see as soon as you get off the ship. Wish more parks were within walking distance.

Did the NCL Historic Kona excursion. Wish they'd allowed us more than 45 minutes at the City of Refuge (beautiful and so interesting) and less than 45 minutes at the coffee place. The painted church was nice with a breif talk given by a volunteer. Back in town, we ubered to Kaloko Honokohau National Park. Hughly recommend...small visitor center with walking trail past petroglyphs to a beautiful beach where you can swim, snorkel and where turtles like to hang out. Then back for a quick walk through Kailua Kona before getting back on the tender

This town was so cute! It has a very beachy/surfer vibe and makes you feel at ease. It had a cute little downtown area for walking around and some great beaches nearby. We did not do an excursion from the ship, but rather rented a buggy from Big Island Buggy (walking distance from the port) and drove around on our own. The Octopus Farm was so much fun and Magic Sands Beach is a great place to snorkel!

We went Blue Marlin fishing with a local guy (Northern Lights) here and both of us caught 150 lb Blue Marlins. And the captain was great enough to pick us up at the port and take us to Kona Coffee Company on our way back to port so I could pick up some local coffee. Great take home gift.
