The Road to Hana plus Mama's Fish House! It doesn't get any better. 21 cruises all over the world and this ranks in my top ten ports. Let me make this clear...If you stop in this port, DO THESE TWO THINGS! Caveat...Book Mama's well in advance. Also...Book off ship to find a Road To Hana excursion that does the full loop around the mountain. I used Valley Isle Excursions, booked through Shoretrips, recommended by my travel agent, Caitlin Gallagher at Ambrentravel.com

The port where we dock awful. This port you definitely need to book a excursion. We did a long walk to the the main mall to get the city bus, which was on 4 bucks for all day pass. Went to beach

Molokini Crater snorkel tour was excellent! We also enjoyed Haleakala. We Ubered over to Lahaina and shopped. Great couple of days.

Shopping at Lahaina was nice. Had lunch at Fleetwoods rooftop with a great view of the ocean - food was really good, enjoyed the live music, and our server was great. Second day we, unknowingly, drove the Road to Hana on the way to the Hana airport to take a flight on a piloted, motorized hang glider at Hang Gliding Maui - Armin was nice and funny. Views of the coast and mountains was amazing!

We didn't do enough investigation on transportation options prior to visiting Maui. The cruise lecture said there was a shuttle to the other side of the island, but there wasn't. We got stuck walking to a drug store after our excursion.
