We did a hop on-hop off tour in the afternoon prior to boarding the ship. We wish we would have done Pear Harbor instead. There just wasn't enough time to enjoy it! (the drivers were kind of crankie and not very easy to hear either) However; We visited Pearl Harbor when we returned from the cruise. We rented a car. (Most car rentals have transportation at the port - we didn't know that! We took an Uber - and beat the rush)

If you can, arrive a few days before your cruise to get accustomed to the time difference and see some of Oahu. If you can, a trip to the North Shore is a must.

Plenty of attractions. Heavy traffic must play into your excursions.
