Rent a car yourself and visit the National Volcano Park. Much, much cheaper than cruise tour (Very Expensive) and simple to do.

We rented a car in this port. Drove around all day and saw many sites, some good and some not. Took highway 130 to Kalapani Beach, (where the lava flowed over the road), and then continued on Northeast. Stay away from this road if possible, not well maintained. The rest of the day was great.

Some historic sites in Old Town but very small. Had our camcorder stolen while here.
