All the ports are at the cargo areas. So not so beautiful but a short walk gets you to the beauty. I recommend the free zoo. Also beautiful beaches nearby. We also shopped and enjoyed Lihaina

We did the hoppa on hoppa off Volcano excursion. Aaron was a great tour guide. There were only 13 of us on the tour which made it so easy to move from place to place. Much more economical than booking through the ship. They picked us up right in the terminal too.

We did a tour which we booked on viator. Took us all around the area, including the volcano, steam vents, a walk through a lava tube, an orchid farm and many other sights... a very interesting port

We did the Best of Hilo tour. On a charter bus, we saw several waterfalls, a local zoo and the coastline. It was a little long.
