Did the tour Best of Hilo and saw some beautiful waterfalls.

Liked, but unfortunately our scheduled tour guide passed on just before our trip and they closed the company for mourning, Ken Smet will be missed. We took the Keikana Tours/Hoppa on Hoppa off bus for $41.80 for two, a nice lazy way to see the local area.

Booked a Volcano tour through Norwegian. Our tour guide Traven and bus drive Patience were wonderful. Traven was super knowledgeable about the history, volcanic activity, etc. Very informative. I would highly recommend this tour.

We did the waterfall, cave and black sand cove excurshion. The tour was excellent, but the vehicle was a little cramped. Tour guide Andrea was excellent and knowledgeable.

We went on the Historical Hilo and Akaka Falls tour. Enjoyed the Lyman Museum and Mission House; visited the macadamia nut factory and store; the Akaka Falls were breathtaking.

I took in two excursions on Hilo. The Waterfall, Cave & Black Sand Cove tour was very nice. Three falls, the most famous being the Rainbow Falls from a private outlook. I was not impressed with the Kaumana Cave. You could not go very far into the cave. The Black Sand Cove was beautiful, saw quite a few of the Green Sea Turtles sunning on the beach and rocks. The tropical fruit farm was beautiful, delicious macadamia nuts and Kona coffee samples also fresh fruit samples, we tried the Star Fruit. Kent was very knowledgable and an excellent tour guide. My second excursion was the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Gardens, a gem not to be missed. The van will get you there and back but the gardens are on your own. Take the full 2.5 hours to take in the beauty.
