Booked Volcano and Rainbow Falls tour threw Norwegian. $124pp. Excellent tour guide. Hilo had gotten lots if rain the night before so Rainbow Falls were roaring. Water not very clean due to runoff but worth seeing. Active volcano amazing!

Great tour. However, the guide information needs to reflect a more strenuous walk that advertised. There was not disappointment here, but several visitors did have a rough time walking the distance required for the waterfall swim.

Went up the Tallest Mountain in the world. Mount Everest is the tallest mountain above sea level, but if we're talking sheer height here, base to summit, then the tallest mountain is Mauna Kea on the island of Hawaii.

Did ships excursion to macadamia nut factory... and saw the devastation of the volcanoes.. waste of money... Hilo is the rainy island. says enough there and was rushed at the nut farm took most of the time pit stopping at similar volcano sites..

I did the Helicopter Ride and my husband did the Lava Tubes hike. We both enjoyed. We found after there was a Hop On Hop Off bus that we could have done before our tour.

Hilo was ok, other than the port is mostly commercial and not very pretty to look at. The island is pretty, the time here was again very short. However, at least no tenders to deal with

Town was mile away from dock. Did not find shopping as we expected. The Kilauea volcano tour booked up too quickly. Did speak with desk, but should have rented vehicle to visit park. Was disappointed with our tour choice. Thought that one day in Hilo would suffice. The zip lining tour was excellent.
