Hilo, Hawaii Cruise Port Reviews

Thoroughly enjoyed the NCL excursion Hilo Coast & Botanical Gardens. It is classified as a Level 1 activity and I do not agree with the classification. Caution: If you have mobility issues. Steep decline on entrance and steep incline on exit. Golf cart can take you out the steep exit if needed. It is really beautiful with such things as tropical growth, radiant flowers, waterfalls, birds and then the HIGHLIGHT of the coastline. Be sure to make it to the coast! The excursion was only 3 hours so it was nice to have a relaxing afternoon on the boat.

This port was also cancelled because of bad weather, The decision was made to return to Kona today after our scheduled call there yesterday. I've been to Hilo four times prior but again, first timers were disappointed.
