Very disappointed as we booked helicopter tour and it was canceled....should have some sort of back up plan for guests as all other tours were booked...we never saw a waterfall, lava flow or black sand beach.

The rainbow Falls were a disappointment, no rainbow; the rest of the tour of the volcano was good as well as the macadamia stop although no tour of the factory; the orchid stop was good

Went shopping saw the Japanese garden and Coconut grove. It is very beautiful and peaceful.

In Hilo, we decided to visit the botanical gardens. Only downside was the port was about 5 miles away from the gardens and we thought walking it would be no big deal. I recommend getting a cab for sure.

Excursions were too expensive. We used Don's Tour Service, very nice. Lots to see around Hilo. Our favorite excursion.
