It is not Venice but Chioggia (little Venice)

You are 90 min from Naples by boat and no way to visit on your own, had to get there on an excursion (guide was horrible).

We docked at Fusina and loaded the bus at about 6:30 to make a 12:30 flight at the airport. I think the ordinary immigration and customs control station is not open at that time, so we had a 30 minute drive to the airport. Early arrival at the airport means that none of the check in desks are open, but we were lucky to be in a priority line and we asked the agent if we could get on the 9:30 flight. She said yes but we would have to go back to the ticket counter to get rebooked. The only thing hard about that is that the ticket counter serves all airlines and has two agents. No line, so we were rebooked/reticketed and sent back to the check in agent. No problem there and the lounge is nice enough.

Didn't really get to see Venice as we had flights either end and the weather was miserable so misty couldn't see a thing

Msc screwed this one up. We ended up only getting a few hours here because of where we had to sick. We had to take a ferry, then walk several miles then take a train. There were no instructions. None of us knew what to do. This was very poor planning. They should have given us info ahead of time about all of this, or got to port earlier so we could enjoy the city. It took over an hour to get from the city back to the ferry waiting area. I wanted to visit this city the most and hardly got to see it. Oh, but if you paid for an MSC excursion you got off first and had a great day.

Did our own thing and thus had a great time!!

Love Venice and stayed at a hotel we stayed in some years back. We arranged a private boat tour of Venice.

You can't get enough of venice, despite the crowds around Piazza San Marco and the Rialto bridge. Spent and extra 5 days there

Once again guide took off leaving us behind. We then discovered he was not our guide. our guide was a no show. Minimal guiding. Included tour. Would not recommend.

Love Venice. Have visited several times before, so did not do any shore excursions.
