Venice, Italy Port Q&A

4.5
I would like to know which port in Venice was used for disembarking. Would be very helpful for planning as we are staying in Venice a few days and would like to reserve a water taxi. Thanks in advance.

I don't think cruise ships are allowed to dock in Venice any more unless it is a very small ship. you might want to double check with your itinerary. We are have a cruise out of "Venice" August 21st. that is the way it is advertised but our actual starting and ending port is Trieste. that is about 90 minutes from Venice.

I believe that they are using Ravenna, IT for the port where you get on. I have seen references to this city for several "Venice" cruises this year. I assume the cruise line has buses to take you there from the assembly point in Venice.

cruise lines are using marghera port (inland venice) or Trieste. we embark in Trieste in May this year.
