Private guide. Great day.

Took a Carnival excursion to learn about local sites and culture. The first 90 minutes should be eliminated and just go straight to the city and old town/city. The large lake was a complete waste of time.

This was probably our biggest disappointment. We did a bike tour offered by Celebrity. A shuttle took us to the bike shop. Our guide was good; he was accompanied by two young "bike mechanics" who had no clue what to do, and hung out with each other and smoked during the tour rather than checking in on the participants. The bikes were very old, not well-maintained, and many of the them had gears that did not work. I had to ask the two young guys to look at my bike - they fixed the gears but had no customer interaction skills whatsoever. It was as if they were bothered to have been asked to do this tour. The most interesting part of Valencia is the Science Center and the buildings around it. They are fascinating. The old town was okay. The market was interesting (however, if you have been to one market, it's not that cool unless you are looking for local specialities). What would make this tour better, is to allow the participants the option to drop off the bikes at either the market or the science center, and provide options to get back to the ship. The bike shop was closer to the ship than it was to town, so if any of us wanted to go back into town or to the science after the bike tour was over, we had to find local public transportation back and forth. The other option would be to give us an hour in the old town to wander while the guide stays with the bikes. We had no chance to see Valencia other than from the seat of the bike.

No guidance whatsoever. People stumbled on to busses, not know where they were going. Then hundreds of people stumbling from one bus stop to another without a clue. I was one of six of us to have our wallet or purse stolen while waiting for another bus to Who Knows Where. Absolute Bush League.

We arrived on Tuesday and that was the day for their Flea Market. It was really nice; not enough time in the port.

Not a very interesting port. Scheduled an excursion to LLadro Factory which was canceled.

Valencia was a great experience as well. Lots of things to do and see.
