Getting a taxi out of the port is next to impossible (there didn't seem to be a lot of them around). Royal Caribbean didn't let us know that there is a shuttle (10 euros per person round trip) that takes you to the area where you can find transportation or start your exploration. Much cheaper than a cab round trip. And they run every 10 minutes or so during disembarkation and embarkation.

Beautiful area, enjoyed the castles, cathedrals, and the area of Valdemossa.

Lots of money on this island and an upscale feel when venturing into the city.

Found a lovely beach at Cala Major, a 10 min taxi ride away and had a beach day

Did the hop on hop off tour. The palace and church were a nice visit did not have time for much of anything else.

We loved the combination of historical, old buildings combined with a tropical atmosphere, many palm trees, gorgeous landscaping and an impressive Las Ramblas. We walked around ourselves and toured the cathedral adjacent to a palace and the Arabic baths.

Was a COMPLETE disaster trying to get off this ship. Was an hour and a half wait for us to be able to get off the ship and then not everyone was able to get on the Hop On Hop Off tour was overloaded. They weren't pre-cleared to come to the pier. It would have been easier and faster for us to walk to the gate and get on the bus there/then and saved some time and effort. No forethought or insight for how many people booked this. As for the shuttle buses, heard the ship only booked one big bus and two smaller shuttles to handle the volume of people. Though town was nice, I only did one thing because I was extremely concerned about being able to get back to the ship on time without necessarily having to pay for a taxi. I felt sorry for the staff member trying to sort it out at the beginning and then they called the Group 2 before Group 1 and was a complete fiasco.
