The port was fine but we didn't have enough time as we departed at 15:30, I did take a tour of Mijas but we got there before the shops opened and left one after after they did, it was poorly timed.

Carnival oversold tickets for the Hop-on Hop-off bus. Waited an hour and a half to get on. Could not get off or would have been unable to get back on.

We booked a zipline excursion & although it was fun, it was only 1 long zipline. Luckily there was only about 9 people on this excursion so it didn't take long before everyone went down and we loaded back up to go back to the ship. We still had time to explore the area but we had to back track since the bus dropped us back off at the ship.

Again, tour guide did nothing and left meeting point without everyone. We had no time to sightsee. We had time to use a bathroom and have a lunch. Waste of money.

This is a significant stroll into town and the line was long for the bus so we just hung out near the pier and did a little shopping in the port shops.

Malaga gets three stars, but only because of NCL. They somehow screwed up our passports and our scheduled trip to Gibraltar was canceled. The one thing I loathe about NCL is their inability to take responsibility for their mistakes. Never did get a good explanation about the Gibralter incident. Turns out that Malaga has a stupendous beach.

Nice clean town. Friendly people.

On our second port we had an excursion to see the old town of Marbella and the luxury marina and shopping at Puerto Banus. Both were nice but we didn't spend a lot of time at each spot because the bus ride to the ship was about an hour each way.

Only a limited time spent in the city as we booked a private tour to walk the Caminito del Rey (AWESOME!). On return we spent a brief time seeing the Cathedral and the Roman theater.

Our disembarkation. We stayed overnight at AC by Marriott which is located in the heart of the city. Lots of cafes and shops all around the city.
