We had a short stop here we got in at 6:30 pm so not much open at that time.

It was Sunday so the stores were closed but there were tons of flea market tables set up in the city center. We took a walking tour with a beer tasting but the tour was pretty boring and the beer was only fair. Disappointing.

I just walked around a little, as I overslept and missed my tour to Hamburg.

We just walked off the ship into the town and had a great time. Lots of shops and food options. Not too touristy

Excellent. Arrived the day before and stayed at the Inter City Hotel next to main Train Station. Straight shot to the terminal with City Bus Line 41 or 42. Had dinner at the Ratskeller best meal ever. Recommend.

Toured navigation locks at Kiel Canal.

Easy to get around. We used Google maps to help us.

The tour (Hop-On-Hop-Off) bus was not to our liking. We rate it (3-stars) We enjoyed the restaurant experience.

Port was fine. Went on short excursion.

We ended up taking the ship shore excursion to Lubeck. Do something independently... this was a bus tour of 40ppl speaking different languages and that toured at different paces. It was frustrating at times. Pretty town with a lot of churches. Kiel is apparently really small so most guests head to Lubeck or Hamburg for the day.
