We made a trip by bus, boat and train through Cinque Terre. Really a must see.

Weather caused cancellation of Cruise Tour, scrambled to take tender to shore and caught train in rain and wind to Monterossa and Vernazza.

Loved the Pisa and Florence on your own trip. A long day, but worth every second of traveling.

We were not allowed to disembark, because we did not have a scheduled tour. Italy does not allow visitors on ships to disembark unless they are with a tour provided by the ship. Unfortunately, the tours we wanted to book for Spezia were fully booked for months. More tours should have been offered at this port and for those who had to stay on board more ship board activities should have been arranged. In addition, the fact we could not disembark on our own was news to us. This should have been communicated way in advance
