Walk to train station. Monte Carlo, Eze, and Nice are a short 15 minute train ride away!

No excursion even though I was told to get on a tender that had an excursion going to Nice. No communication at all about where to exit for non-excursion tenders and excursion tenders!!

French Riviera at its best. Stunning views and scenery in which you would see in a Hollywood Bond movie.

We took the train to monoco for the day, went to the aquarium & the palace. Both very good, we took a bus up to the palace for a few euro. Also went & saw where princess grace was buried, beautiful church

Tour to Cannes w/lunch and St. Paul de Vance were wonderful; visit to Fragonard perfume factory could have been eliminated in order to spend more time at St. Paul de Vance.

We took the train to Monaco for 4.80 euros return. We got to see the Grand Prix on the qualifying day. We were told by the ship exursion desk that everything was closed and it would be impossible to get to Monaco and back. They were VERY mistaken and I am glad that I did not follow their advise. The train runs every 30 minutes to Eze, Monaco, Nice and Cannes. Some of our fellow shipmates took the train to Monaco and then back to Nice, then back to Villefranche-Sur-Mer, for around 10 euros. The transportation system is very reliable. Some shipmates also took the bus on their own. When you take the tender to shore the information office has plenty of information. There is not much to do in Villefranche, but it is a beautiful picturesque town. The beach has beautiful water and was quite warm for May.
