One of our favorite places. And the city was breathtaking from the fortress. Walking into the most beautiful church and listening to the organ concert was very moving.

Went on the Salzburg Highlights optional tour. Truly the highlight of the cruise. Would have liked to be in Salzburg for a couple of days. This is well worth the $199/person. GREAT TOUR!!! The lunch in a fantastic setting with music from the Sound of Music was worth the price of the tour alone, plus you had all of the other sights of this charming city.

Nice walking tour. Organ concert good except first number was meant to show the power of the organ, and while it did that, it was more baroque boom box than pretty music. A number of us went with a crew member in the afternoon to a beer garden where the beer garden staff was rude and haughty - this beer garden should not be favored by Viking going forward,

We had a walking tour of the town. Our guide was the most helpful by telling us where to shop, eat and drink and where not to go. My most favorite stop was in this town. The only dachshund museum in the world. Of course we went. I left my dachshund at home and was really surprised how many dachshunds are in the museum.
