We took the excursion to Rowan, five hours. The only problem was that it was a three hour round trip tour and that left two hours for a tour of the city and free time to explore. Just not a good balance between travel time and tour ad free-time. We had so much time that we purchased a shuttle ticket into LeHave and toured both its modern and old church. The park in front of its grand hotel has a wonderful fountain.

We went to a quaint little town and enjoyed a few cafes. We took in a winery which was nice.

We did Normandy D-Day tour through Princess. This was definitely our favorite Princess tour. Guide was knowledgeable. It's an all day tour and didn't feel as rushed as usual, though there is still a lot packed into the trip. And lunch was excellent. Leave it to the French to make sure there is a bottle of wine included at every table. Roast chicken was also excellent. Picked up a crepe for desert at a local stand, delicious.

Those that stayed at Le Harve found all the shops closed at lunchtime 1/2 day. We adored the Monet Gardens - worth every penny
