Exceptional! We rented scooters and explored the villages. I would recommend that you have at least a bit of knowledge around scooters/motorcycles. Best excursion of my life.

Nothing to do in La Spezia. You will need to go to a tour in order to enjoy this port. We did the tour to Pissa and Florence

Great port! I did a double excursion to Pisa and Florence. Could have obviously spent days in both cities, but I did not feel rushed and had lots of time to explore with the time given.

We booked an outside excursion to Florence and Pisa. Returning traffic from Pisa was awful--took an extra 1 1/2 hrs to get back to the ship

We took excursion to Florence for the day, long 1 1/2hr bus ride each way! Small cramped bus but Florence was worth it!

Did the Cinque Terre tour. We visited 3 of the 5 villages. You must take a train or a ferry to get to any of the villages in a decent amount of time. It take hours by car due to the remote villages. They are all situated on the mountain side over looking the ocean. You must be able to climb a lot of very steep steps in order to take this tour.

Good if you like markets. It’s huge, running down both sides of long street, but you need a tourist train to get to/from, about €10 each return, so hold onto your ticket. Train journey is lovely for a tour of area but as on road, bumpy in parts.
